4.3 Diana Foster

Winter 1996, Newcrest hospital / caravan park

A few days later when Diana just dressed up, she heard someone knocking on her door. 

"Hey all!"

She brightened up, when she saw the familiar faces enter the room.

"You packed already?", Rosa asked her.

"Yes, I can't wait to go home again! I hate hospitals!", Diana laughed.

When they arrived in front of Diana's caravan, she noticed some balloons around her door.

"Go inside! We have a little surprise for you!", Leroy said excited.

And  what a surprise it was. Diana couldn't find any words to say at first. She felt some tears filling her eyes.

"This is so beautiful! When did you do this?", she finally said.

"While you were in the hospital", Rosa said, "your little girl needs a place to sleep too, no?"

Diana was amazed. "What a cute crib! And a changing table! And even plushies!"

"Everything you need!", someone said behind her, but she couldn't really make out who it was, being too busy admiring all the cute pink stuff in front of her.

"I don't know what to say... Thank you!", she sobbed.

She realized she made the best friends in the world.
