Linda felt sleepy already. She couldn't really focus on her work, because she kept thinking about Alejandro.
And what Mae said.
Did Linda really want a family?
She guessed so, but she never gave it a real thought.
She only noticed that Alejandro lately irritated her somehow.
Why did he always want to meet her in some fancy places? And why did he always have to talk weird stuff... somehow everything became so boring, she found.
"Linda? Don't you go to bed? It's like 2am!" Mae's voice suddenly pulled her out of her thoughts.
It seems Linda had forgotten the time while working.
And brooding.
"I just had to finish this summary for the botanical research center", she said.
"Anyhow, you should go to bed. You have to work tomorrow, no?", Mae said.
"I'm done now, little sis", Linda chuckled. Mae had to act sometimes like her mother.
Find another lover, Linda. Or better, a husband. :)

DeleteI do wonder what Linda actually sees in Alejandro. She doesn't seem to be all that into him. She seems like a smart woman (it definitely looks like she's got her ish together by miles since Paris), so my guess it that she never really allowed herself to fall for him because her instincts are warning her that it's off. A defense mechanism to make sure she's never fully invested.
