9.4 Christmas Eve
Winter 1996, West residence
After their guests left, Linda and Mae stayed for a while in the living room with hot cinnamon tea, reminiscenting the evening together.
"And after all, she still played with the doctor set the whole evening!", Linda said, laughing.
"Isn't she just too cuuuute!", Mae insisted. "And this christmas was so lovely!"
"Yes, it really was.", Linda confirmed.
"I think I want to marry Herbert!", her sister suddenly blurted out.
"Really? Just like that?"
Linda was used to her sister making rushed decisions, but marriage might be a little too serious for that. You couldn't just go back once you were.
"Maybe you should think a bit more about it?", she asked carefully.
"I am totally sure about it! This is exactly what I want! My own, perfect little family!", Mae said, emphatically.
"Okay, definitely no use to talk her out of it", Linda thought, but she was smiling.
It might go even well.
Mae had shown her already for a while that she was really happy with that man.

DeleteYeah, Mae likes the idea of a cute and fun family. Herbert himself... not convinced. I bet she likes Mariella more than him. Unfortunately, Mariella and Herbert come as a package deal, so marrying him is the way to go, huh...
